Navigation Park

This high-impact, contemporary play space at Navigation Park was designed by Urban Edge Landscape Architects for the developer, PEET. adventure+ partnered with the landscape architect in designing and manufacturing the playground equipment for the play space. The concept behind the space was to provide a striking, highly visible installation that added value to the surrounding urban landscape.

A key part of the plan included a stunning play structure, consisting of two towers (a smaller and a larger version) joined by a tunnel slide. Clad with brightly coloured steel verticals, the towers certainly catch the eye. This installation gives the opportunity for plenty of imaginative and creative play, as well as physical activity. Other features included are mini-trampolines, mound slide, mound tunnel, spinners and more…

Numerous play elements in this park are inclusive, allowing individual and group play, as well as offering something suitable for children with special needs. To provide a more inclusive experience and to enable families and groups to stay for longer, a barbecue and lunch area was also incorporated.

Mamma Knows West, a well-known group of playground and children activity enthusiasts gave their stamp of approval: “Mamma loves a fresh new playground and this one is definitely fresh, new AND fantastic!”
