Estuary Estate

Incorporating the challenging pinnacle+ Mt Ambition rope climbing structure, a large all abilities access symmetry+ play unit with eye catching twist roofs, swings, rockers, rubber climbing mound and paths, the playground at Estuary Estate stands out from the rest! The landscape architect, Ralph Nowosiky from GHD Landscape Architects, said:

“Villawood Properties’ Estuary Development at Leopold has set a new benchmark in residential development in Geelong. The entrance to the development is dominated by a large, linear, water based landscape that not only provides a dramatic entrance to the development, but acts as a significant piece of water sensitive urban design, filtering the stormwater runoff from the site.

“The layout of the play space was designed by adventure+ and incorporated into the overall design of the park by GHD Landscape Architects.

“The main play area has been located to provide for easy access for all users and enables families to gather around BBQ areas and under cover while being able to monitor their children. The play space has been elevated to maximise views and is supplemented with large tree trunk elements of varying heights.

“All the play elements are linked by a colourful blue soft fall pathway that reflect the Villawood philosophy to maximise the use of colour in their play spaces.”

Everyone in the company with whom I had contact was responsive, even when we changed our minds about fifteen times! The work was done very efficiently, on time and on budget.
